Each Friday you'll receive a unique number for that weekend's competition from WhatsApp.
Catches count from 4pm Friday to 9pm Sunday, every weekend, and throughout school holiday periods, from anywhere around Guernsey's coastline.
Submit your species and measurement/weight through the WhatsApp group before the window closes.
Results are posted after each competition, with winners called out across the prize categories for that weekend.

The Guernsey Junior Fishing League began the way most good ideas do — with a few friends heading down to the coast, comparing catches, and wondering who'd landed the biggest fish that weekend. Word spread from friend to friend, and what started as a small group has grown into an island-wide league of young anglers.
Every competition is entirely free to enter and run by the juniors themselves — no adults calling the shots, just young anglers organising fair, friendly competition for their own community. Whether you're chasing a personal best or just want an excuse to get outdoors with your mates, there's a place for you on the rocks.
From your first entry to your first trophy, here's what being part of the league gets you.
Regular junior sea fishing competitions held almost every weekend around the island, Friday 4pm to Sunday 9pm — always free to enter, always open to new members.
Fish solo or gather your mates into a group, any size — enter together, weigh in together, and see how your crew stacks up on the league table.
Every registered member receives a free league membership card, marking you as an official part of the Guernsey Junior Fishing League — and giving you 10% off fishing gear (excluding bait and commercial fishing supplies) at Micks Fishing Supplies, where cards must be collected in person.
Win by species, by size, by group, or by most-improved catch — prizes are spread across multiple categories so everyone has something to aim for.
Catches from anywhere around the island between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening are logged and posted to the island-wide league board.
Run by juniors, for juniors — a friendly, junior-led space to swap tips, share your best catches and make new fishing mates along the coastline.

The Guernsey Junior Fishing League is always looking for sponsors. Every pound raised through sponsorship and donations is reinvested straight back into the league — most of it goes towards prizes for our members.
Prizes aren't only awarded to whoever catches the biggest or best fish. We also recognise members who show enthusiasm, commitment, great participation, and a positive attitude — because that's what keeps this league going.

We're always looking for donated rods, reels, and fishing tackle. Every piece of kit donated helps support the Rod Loan Scheme at Micks, which lets junior anglers borrow equipment and get involved in fishing even if they don't own their own gear.
